Browser Troubleshooting: The Shareowner Forum Hompage utilizes Macromedia's Flash technology in providing a News Ticker. You do not need the Flash plugin to use this site, but if you wish to see the News Ticker, you do need to install the Macromedia Flash plugin. Additionally, some of our interactive pages require a browser that is JavaScript 1.2 capable.  If error messages appear when you try to access a web page, or if it behaves erratically, you will need to upgrade your browser to access that page.  You may also need to check "Enable JavaScript" in your browser preferences. 

If you are using Netscape 8.0 or higher, set the browser to "Display Like Internet Explorer." You can accomplish this by clicking on the lower left-most icon and selecting "Display like Internet Explorer." This will resolve any issues of incompatibility with the website.

The CalPERS Governance website does not currently support any version of the Mozilla Firefox browser.

AOL users: Your browser is a customized version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer which does not fully support Javascript.  AOL will allow you to use the browser of your choice.  To use a different browser, first download and install free browser software using one of the links above.  Then after logging on to AOL as usual, open the new browser to begin using it. 

Prodigy users: You can use the browser of your choice.  To use a different browser, first download and install free browser software using one of the links above.  Then after logging on to Prodigy as usual, open the new browser to begin using it. 

How To Print

To print the full width of Shareowner Forum web pages, your print setup must be set to Landscape.  Go to your browser's File menu, select Print, select Propertes, then set the paper Orientation to Landscape.  Click OK, and continue to print as usual.

How To Use PDF

The Adobe^® Reader is required to view CalPERS On-Line documents that are stored in the Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have the PDF Reader installed on your computer, you can download it free from the Adobe web site. Follow Adobe's instructions for downloading and installation.*

PDF Troubleshooting: If you click on a link to a PDF file and then are not able to view it, you may need to upgrade to a later version of the Adobe Reader. Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 utilizes Adobe Reader version 7.0 to view PDF documents. For technical help, see the Adobe Reader Customer Technical Support Database.

Printing tip: To print oversized CalPERS On-Line PDF charts, press your browser's print button and check the "Shrink to fit" option.
